MINNA NO NIHONGO DEB. 1 - CAHIER D'EXERCICES (2E ED.) (Japanese Edition)

I was expecting a kanji workbook for some reason (as I thought the three workbooks in the series were grammar, reading, kanji) but this is definitely not a kanji workbook at all. Their reading workbook also uses kanji, but their grammar workbook doesn't use kanji until chapter 11 (literally only kana, unlike the text book). So this is really just another Minna Ni Nihongo grammar Workbook. Perhaps this workbook is more steered towards Chinese students of Japanese, since they're much more comfortable with the kanji than the kana... I'd hope the introduction clarifies the purpose of the workbook, but the series hasn't taught me enough Japanese to read it yet.That being said - it's not simply a duplicate of the grammar workbook, it's actually got unique questions. So it's not a complete waste of paper, especially if you are like me and like the drills and practice. The snail-paced shipping (well over a month, and no tracking number) was a bit much, but not the fault of the material itself. All in all, I don't regret purchasing it, but it's not enough material that it would be worth purchasing again and it's not clear at all why this workbook exists or why the other grammar workbook (which has more material, if in kana for the first half) exists or why they're written the way they are. It's also a bit slim on material, so it doesn't really stand alone... I could see a teacher using it for quizzes or tests though the answers are provided in the back.If you're learning Japanese on your own and using the MNH series, this is more practice and may be useful for self-testing, but don't wait on the shipping to start learning - use what you have and review/catch up with this one when it finally arrives. I'd say if you're struggling and looking for extra help, the other grammar workbook in the series might be better (due to the kana-only in the first 10 chapters and the larger volume of material). If you're not using the MNH series, there's no point in using this workbook at all.

I am teaching hush school student who is learning Japanese .Last couple lesson was so hard to teach because nothing explained to use about words .May be teacher hand book has explained to use some of word .I didn’t want to buy another expensive textbook.Wish it more less price .

Fantástico cuaderno de ejercicios. Al mismo nivel que los libros, gran cantidad de ejercicios que ayudan a afianzar los conceptos y vocabulario.

(Denkt auf alle Fälle dran euch sowohl das japanische Hauptbuch als auch das deutsche Erklärungsbuch dazu zu kaufen. Alle anderen Bücher sind optional. Aber die beiden Bücher braucht ihr zwingend zusammen, sonst ergibt das System keinen Sinn)Ich würde immer wieder zu diesen Büchern greifen um Japanisch zu lernen. Man muss sich am Anfang durchbeißen, je nachdem wie viele Vorkenntnisse man schon hat. Aber nach den ersten 1-2 Lektionen hat man verstanden wie der Hase läuft. Der Vorteil ist das die Bücher so bekannt sind, dass man im Internet genug Material findet und man bei anderen gucken kann wie man die Bücher am besten benutzt.Die Lektionen sind in gute Häppchen eingeteilt. Man macht mit jeder neuen Lektion Fortschritte wird aber nicht mit zu viel neuem Lernstoff überfordert.Die Kritik, dass die Sprache die einem beigebracht wird veraltet ist und Japaner in der Realität oft anders sprechen kann ich zwar verstehen, eine neue Ausgabe wäre wünschenswert, aber ich finde man kriegt hier einen Werkzeugkasten an die Hand, den Schritt diesen anzuwenden muss man dann selber gehen.Man kann hier auf alle Fälle die Grundlagen der Sprache, einen guten Wortschatz und ein Grundverständnis aufbauen und hat damit eine gute Grundlage um japanisch mit Japanern Sprechen zu lernen.
