Great and Handy for singers/songwriting/harmonies
Very good pitch trainer and very unique. I haven’t seen any of those somewhere else. I use it when I warm up but also when I write songs and create harmonies, I wanted something to check how accurate my pitch is and of course if I’m in the right key (nb. I know some music theory - this doesn’t indicate which key you are in)The range is also very wide, I’ve tried it on notes from the second to the seventh octave !It is small and handy and you can add an accessory which I did. Only small flaw I would say is the old-school vibe of this item from the name to the color but only if I want to find a flaw. It is also surprisingly light in the hand and easy to transport

Useful, but..
Bought this to help me improve my singing. I had already been using my Korg guitar tuner for this, but the guitar tuner only does notes corresponding to guitar strings (although you can change the tuning with sharps and flats). The vocal pitch trainer does all the notes and shows them on a stave. It's good for practicing individual notes and scales and seeing whether your pitch is good, but if you sing into it, the display can get a bit confusing, with red and green lights flickering too quickly to take in what is happening. The vocal pitch trainer is good for tuning guitars and other instruments (like flute/recorder and it's a very useful thing for any musician.

Not very good as a pitch pipe alternative
I bought this as it will sound a range of notes through a speaker and it looked like the graphic was quite straight forward and the interface easy to use.. I thought it might be an alternative to a reed based pitch pipe to use with a choir. I knew it was small, but didn't really need the sound to be that loud. However, the sound output is very low, and lower than I expected. Also, to change note you have to toggle chromatically upwards over a couple of octaves every time, even if you want to just go down a semitone.Having said that, if you wanted to practice your singing, and use the graphic to display the note you are singing to practice intonation, i think it's pretty good to be honest.

A lot smaller than it looks - But it does the job and as a bonus its helps with guitar re-stringing!
The thing that surprised me most was the size of this device, compared to photos, but that's not a bad thing! It certainly does the job, although one does at first feel a bit strange singing into it!Another little use for this device that can relieve anxiety for guitarists who aren't pitch perfectWhen you re-string a guitar, you start tightening a string, your tuner tells you the note but not the octave and you have lost track of which octave has been reached- Then BANG the string snaps! This actually gives you the octave note!Might seem silly as I have done it more than once and seen other guitarists suffer the same fate (nice not to be the only daft one!).Don't know why guitar tuners don't show the octave as well as the note! But this little device solves the problemWould I buy it again - yes.

A really great product from Korg!
A suberb compact device from Korg at a really low price, this helps achieve tonal accuracy by 'homing in' LEDS indicating over or under or spot on and displaying the note. I didn't like the rather harsh sound so smoothed it to nearer a sine wave which I find easier to match up to. Well worth having to check your vocal pitch when you are a member of a choir. Definitely recommended.

Helps keep you in tune
Wasn't quite sure what to expect from this small and inexpensive device but once I understood how it is used it was a good idea.Basically you can use it to either learn how to sing at the right pitch or to learn how to read music. It will show you if your pitch is either below, above or just right with the tone it just played, by using red and green lights. It will also show you the note on a LCD scale, and where your tone was on the scale so can match the tone to the note which helps learn musicA very good value for money.
