Going Back to the Basics
Husband and I have decided to go back to the basics and start making some of our food from scratch. From growing our own vegetables to make butter. Love this simple churn. It makes great butter with just a little effort. Well worth it.

OMG DAD!!! It made butter!!! 'nuff said.
Kids were skeptical. Churn churn churn... OMG DAD!!! It made butter!!! Why is it white? Well... let me tell you how commercial butter is made... Turned in to a great teaching moment. I'd buy this again.

Not A Good Experience!
We were so anxious to try this. Followed all directions, and my husband has been turning that crank a good 30 minutes now!!! Much quicker shaking it in a jar. The gears are squeaking big time, and this is our first use of it.Attempted to complete a return on this, but seller requires it be unused with all original packaging. How do you know if you like it if you don’t use it? Also, did not keep the packaging because it looked like something we’d keep. I’m highly upset at this point.

Fun!
Was pleasantly surprised to find the jar bigger than I thought it would be.Washed and dried right away.Used my heavy cream at room temperature. About 12 ounces. Which took around a half an hour to solidify.About 12 ounces makes about a half of cup of butter.Very easy to churn until the butter starts to form. Then easy again.Used it on grilled cheese sandwiches. The best.Remember to save the buttermilk to use in recipes! This is a great buy. Works well. Fun to watch as you churn the heavy cream. Great value! I am happy I bought this.

Yes, Yes, and YEEES!
45 minutes of shaking a jar - down to TWO and Half minutes of cranking?? YES!!OK, maybe it were three minutes. We use 40% (or 36%) milk fat whipping cream.Unbelievable....Kilner, chapeau bas !PS what is that strange thing sold in stores as "buttermilk"? It does not even come close to the buttermilkmade by us :-)!!UPDATE - NOT SO FAST :-)Second time it took us 20 minutes....Possibilities:cream still cold, after 2 hrs on the table, about 30-50% more than first time,Different cream - this time we used "Heavy whipping cream, total fat 5 g per 1 tbsp" as opposed to previous "40% milk fat" (hard to find, we usually buy 36%).Anyway - worth every penny, worth every moment of cranking ! :-)
