Crochet Bouquet: Quick-and-Easy Patterns for Adorable Flowers, Headbands and Hats (Design Originals) Paperback – November 1, 2011

The hat patterns are confusing, first of all I did not see a hook size associated with any of the hats, (I guess I will use G), or the type of yarn they used, which I assume is worsted, medium weight. The instructions rely on the person who is reading the pattern to measure the sizing. This is difficult and time consuming if you do not know what size needle to use to begin with. The instructions are not spaced well and are crammed onto the page in a smaller print. Many of the flower patterns rely on buttons for the center of the flower itself, I was hoping to use only yarn. It will be a challenge, and I will learn something, but this book will be frustrating for a beginner.

This is one of the BEST accessory books I've ever used! Mine was lost in a move and I was so happy to find someone still carrying it. Beautiful crocheted flowers and great headband/hat patterns. The beautiful flowers are great accents for headbands, purses, shawls, ponchos and even blankets. You'll want to hold onto this book for a long, long time. It's an amazing crafting tool! My book shipped quickly and I immediately put it to use. It's a great tool for making baby gifts or baby picture photo props. You'll not regret this purchase!

I really like the patterns in this book and the flowers are out of this world. But. The instructions for some of the crochet patterns are confusing. This author uses graphs, and symbols for sc, hdc, dc, sk st.....such as crosses with one bar or two, circles, or uses a graph pattern, instead of just writing the patterns in the normal method.I've crocheted now for 50 years maybe? And my friend for 40, she can usually figure out what to do just by looking at the pattern, and both she and I found this very confusing, and hard to understand.Granted, she and I will both be able to figure this out, but it is still aggravating.

I was very happy with the directions.I liked the diagrams showing the symbols for th different stitches. Example single, double and triple crochet.

Great book for beginners I love it

The instructions are simple and easy to follow. The pictures are great

The author did not put yarn weights in the materials-needed section, so either you have to research the weight of the yarn she used or guess or use the EXACT yarn she used. This is really annoying when you don't want to use the exact yarn she used or can't find it.

Cute patterns and quick projects. The only downside is guessing what size yarns to use as I have never seen most of the ones used in the book.

Great book with great illustrations and a variety of patterns.

Looks lovely, Haven't tried a pattern from it but it does present well and I am looking forward to completing something?
