Best Dry Mouth products I've found in 18 years of using them
Have been using this since I found out the other well-known brand suddenly didn't work well for me. I discovered the prev products made by the prev mentioned corp had purchased by another corp. When the manufactuer of it changed, so did the formula for the product. The prev helpful enzymes in it had been removed from that product. So, I switched to Salivea when I discovered it instead. It has those enymes and works as it should. The taste is a mild mint and feels great too! I like to share it with other's who suffer from Sjogren's or dry mouth for any reason. I highly recommend!

Excellent Toothpaste for those with sensitive gums and mouth.
This toothpaste is very gentle on the mouth. I have extremely sensitive gums and tongue, but this toothpaste doesn't burn at all. The flavor is pleasant and not overwhelming. I believe Biotene gentle toothpaste has been discontinued, and this is an excellent substitute. I do wish it could be a little less expensive, but I think all specialty toothpastes are expensive since there is very little competition.

Old Biotene formula, excellent for sensitive mouth
Thank you to the other reviewers who provided information on this product being the old, original Biotene formula, I may have never stumbled onto this excellent product without your help. I have a very sensitive mouth, anything minty, too sweet or salty, spicy, hot, acidy, or even sharp like hard candy or chips, can cause burning and sores in my mouth. I used the original Biotene formula for years and did well with it, until the formula was changed, and I could no longer tolerate it. After much time and research, along with many wasted tubes of supposed "gentle" toothpastes, I found that Squiggle tooth builder in the green tube worked for me. Until recently. One reviewer pointed out a change in Squiggle's formula based on the ingredients list, which I did not notice, but my mouth certainly did. More searching and buying of toothpaste that didn't work. Stumbled onto the Salivea for dry mouth, which I also occasionally suffer from, and read the reviews about Laclede producing the old Biotene formula again after the short sighted corporate hacks at the big corporation changed the formula and ruined it. Thank you Laclede for (hopefully) caring about actual people, customers who NEED this product, and will be loyal to it until they die if you continue to produce it! We may not be a large cohort, but there are enough of us who know what works and are so exhausted from searching for new products every time an excellent product is changed, cheapened, or "new and improved," which means just the opposite. This toothpaste is wonderful again, my mouth can tolerate it multiple times a day, it is very soothing, doesn't burn, actually improves my mouth when I flare up from allergies or sensitivities or get sores. The taste is mild but clean, the texture is smooth and comfortable, not watery or gritty as some reviews stated. It is an excellent toothpaste for those of us with mouth sensitivity, canker sores, and dryness issues. I encourage you to at least try a tube to see if it will work for you if you have the same issues I do. I am (selfishly) hoping the customer base will be built up again so that they never stop making this toothpaste with this particular formula again! The price is good considering a lot of other "sensitive" toothpastes I tried were priced much higher. And honestly, I would pay a bit more to have my mouth feel ok and not hurt everyday. If you like super minty, burn your mouth clean toothpaste, (and I understand you, my husband is one of you) then this is not for you. But just because it is not for you, please recognize that it is a godsend for some of us. I am thrilled most people don't suffer the horrible issues I have with my sensitive mouth, and admire your ability to tolerate all that hot peppermint, cinnamon, or whatever minty clean toothpaste you love. But this product is extremely valuable and soothing for the right people, and we desperately need it, because we are ignored by big corporations that can sell to the larger cohort of average consumers without problematic issues. Thanks again to the reviewers who provided good information, and THANK YOU, Laclede, for producing this extremely helpful product to those of us who suffer from mouth issues like sensitivity, allergy, sores, and dryness. You have really helped this particular consumer, and I am very grateful!

Effective for teeth and dry mouth care
As a a practicing dentist and someone who cannot use sulfates in toothpaste and shampoo, it's been really hard to find an easy and effective way to clean and care for my own as well as patients' teeth and gums. Even brushing with no toothpaste or sulfate-free (SLS-free) toothpastes didn't completely solve the problem of my feeling like I had to work really hard to brush and floss to get my teeth to feel really clean. Teeth and gums still didn't feel as clean or look as good as they do after switching to Salivea. Some of my patients who have been using Biotene Dry Mouth toothpaste haven't been getting the good results they used to have. Maybe aging? Maybe medications? Maybe something else? The original Biotene used to contain salivary enzymes but the brand was sold to another company and the formula was changed so it no longer contains these enzymes. Some patients who have switched to other SLS-free toothpastes have seen good results. Some have seen better results but not great results. They still seem to have to work hard at cleaning their teeth.I had heard about Salivea several years ago in a professional publication but that was before it became readily available. The company that originated Biotene started this Salivea brand and is producing this toothpaste, mouth rinse and mouth spray for improving the oral care of people who suffer from dry mouth.Initially, I was a little disappointed at the mild mint flavor (I usually like stronger mint). But over the past 2 months of using it, I've come to really like it. My teeth feel cleaner after brushing, feel cleaner longer than with other toothpastes, I don't have to brush as hard or as long and don't have to floss as hard and my mouth just feels better. To summarize, I DON'T HAVE TO WORK AS HARD to clean my teeth and gums. That's always a good thing. Some of the critical reviews expressed disappointment because the reviewer's mouth was still dry. Dry mouth can be the result of a number of different reasons. Remember that this is NOT a drug to treat/cure dry mouth. It IS a product to help clean teeth and make the dry mouth more comfortable.I believe my good results are not just because it's SLS-free but because of the added salivary enzymes. I started recommending Salivea Dry Mouth toothpaste to patients but won't get to check the results for 3-6 months when they come back for their next appointment. Stay tuned...

No me gusto para nada.
No me gusto. Apenas hace espuma, el sabor no es sabroso y el resultado nulo.
