This is a decent desk for the price. I wasn't going to post a review but some of the ones out there are so far off base that I wanted to clarify some things.PROS- Price- Fairly sturdy- Large work space- Shipping: well protected. Everything was padded by Styrofoam and the box itself was encased with heavy bubble wrap.- Again, PRICE. The same desk is being sold at a popular online furniture site for close to $700. Its marketed under a different name (not Monarch) but is literally the same desk. They even use the same photos on that site as they do on Amazon. Not sure why its ~$200 here and $700 there but I'm happy with it :)CONS- The materials. This is to be expected as you're paying $200 for a desk. Anything in this price range or size is going to be particle board, MDF, etc. However, for what it is, the desk works well. You want a solid WOOD desk? Looking at over $1000.- The assembly was pretty easy and went well EXCEPT for one drawer where the screw holes were misaligned. I was too lazy to get my drill so the top drawer has a 1/8" gap when closed.SIDE NOTES- The instructions are not the greatest but they are in-line with most do-it-yourself furniture. If you can figure out IKEA furniture, you can assemble this desk.- Some complaints from other Reviews stated the wooden dowels somehow broke through the desk when they tightened the Cam and lock nut (a screw and a small circle that you turn halfway to lock 2 pieces of furniture together). Based on what those Reviewers said, it sounds like they put the WOODEN DOWEL in the Screw hole. Big no-no, the instructions even have a picture of this on Page One that says "Incorrect".OVERALLI like this desk for the price. Its large, stable, and I got what I expected for this price range. When I have a larger budget I will upgrade to a nicer desk but for $200 you cant go wrong.

Really good looking table. I had a hard time finding a modern look tanle that was more then 48” long. I wanted a lot of realestate on my table and wanted it to look modern. This was a great buy. The quality is okay, will see how long it will last. The drawers are fair big.

My boyfriend is a big gamer, so he wanted a large desk that could hold a computer tower and two large monitors on top. I wanted some storage space to make sure all of his other knick knacks could be stored neatly. This desk has delivered on all fronts so far! Putting it together was a bit time consuming, but not longer than expected for a piece of furniture this size. Our last desk arrived with missing parts, damaged packaging, scuffs, and when put together the drawers didn't fit quite right. We didn't experience any of these problems with this desk. So far we love the functionality and how nice it looks in our apartment!

I ordered this desk for my handicapped sister who is in an electric chair. I wanted her to have plenty of room to get her chair up to the desk easily and quickly without being "tight". This desk is perfect as there is plenty of room to navigate with her chair. Not only is the desk beautiful and brigh white like we wanted, it is spacious and extremely sturdy which is needed in her situation. I must admit it did take me hours to put it together, but that's only because I'm slow. There was one occassion that I put one of the back boards on backwards and I fault the minimal directions for that. Luckily, I caught my mistake when I moved on to the next step and was able to undo the work easily. Delivery was timely as promised and the product was packed well with no damage. Very pleased with this purchase and highly recommend it.

The desk is sturdy and great value for the money you spend. You get a sizeable desk that fits a 27" iMac and two 22" monitors on the side of it. The cabinets have ample storage however you cannot put anything heavy in the drawers as the bottoms are made of flimsy particleboard. The worst part of the desk was the installation. The include multiple steps in one diagram that can be incredibly difficult to follow. Installation 100% requires a drill as most of the holes are going to be misaligned and it makes screwing the tiny 1/4" screws much easier. Probably requires two people to put together but I was able to "manage" by myself. Would recommend to a friend but would probably warn them of the hard set up.

Update after using for half a year: I've added a couple images of the wear and tear that the surface of the desk has. As you can see, the particle board cover is bubbling/popping. It's very strange as there's been no humidity and the most pressure has been from mouse/keyboard/coffee mugs. It would be nice for the company who makes these to provide a solution for this problem, or some kind of repair system.Update after a few months of use, the surface of the desk has worn down significantly. Unfortunately this is due to plastic devices (keyboard, mouse) and indicates that the materials are less than desired. It's still a stable desk, but might not make it a full year!It took me around two hours to complete this desk, and it was challenging on my hands and back. The instructions were mostly clear but I ended up putting one of the panels on in reverse and that took 20 minutes to fix at the very end. Also, the little pads that cover the screws--there should have been 18 or so, and there were only 6, so I had to submit a parts request through the manufacturer. Not a deal breaker, but still should be noted.The desk sits taller than I was expecting, by a couple inches, but that gives plenty of leg room. The surface is huge and the compartments allow a lot of storage. Overall, I'm happy with the desk. I might need to buy a new chair, but that's not a huge deal!If you can get a friend to help with the build, it'll make the process go buy much faster.

I installed this properly but the desk is very wobbly when I try to move it (small metal pieces hold together the structure, so trying to push/pull the desk after assembling it is a daunting task. The drawers get stuck a lot.If you just want a hard surface to work on & don’t rearrange furniture in your room a lot - this desk will suffice

1) packaging delivery was exceptional. Item was wrapped. In bubble wrap and the inner packing is good too.2) assembly took about 1 hour and the instructions were clear. Kit came with good quality hardware and glue for the dowels3) surface is sturdy and fit in nicely.

Great desk. Good quality and a reasonable price. I am no expert at putting things together but was able to assemble it slowly and carefully. It would help a lot if they labelled the hardware rather than just have pictures as I had to guess which hardware needed to be used. It is doable but takes more work than needed to figure out what goes where. Labeling the parts would make it much easier and save people time. Overall, I am very happy with the desk and it looks great.

The desk fine. The only "issue" is the drawers. Since I wanted a long table, the drawers are kind of in the way for me to move through the entire length of the table. If they were on a side, like a L-shape, it would be perfect.Overall, good desk.

Desk is fairly solid but drawers really don't line up well. Had to order a new drawer front and I must say the manufacturer gave excellent customer service, and I received it in a couple of days.
