Dock Edge + Inc.'S smooth Rolling wheels offer substantial dock cushioning and feature molded-in valves to adjust the level of firmness. Heavy-duty, hot dipped galvanized hardware mounts securely to the dock. The inflatable dock wheel guides your boat into the slip easily, regardless of wind and current conditions. Integrally molded ribs both on top and bottom of these wheels makes them valuable dock and boat protection and formidable guards against impacts.

Needs mods to fully protect depending on boat used.
Great product but depending on your boat it can also cause damage. The flare on the bow can push the fender down as you roll in, this fully exposes the bolt and washer on the top putting 1/16 inch gouges in our flag blue awlcraft.2000 paint and gel coat. There was a small black rubber cap by that provided no protection. I then modified the roller by removing it from the mount, cutting 1 inch of tube off the top. Put two tennis balls on the bottom post to raise it up and a tennis ball screwed to the top. This should fully protect the flare of the boat now.

Poor design
Post is not threaded, so screw will not fit. Therefore, ball cannot be secured to axel. I tried hammering screw into post to try to get the threads to catch into the metal--this only stripped the screw. Crazy that someone would sell this as a product that can actually be used. There are multiple reviews with this same issue.

Great but one suggested improvement
I can't provide any information regarding the installation, because my Marina insist on doing them. I'm not sure how these will withstand UV rays, that we will have to wait for. The air pressure is put in through an oversize hard plastic screw. I had to locate a portable air compressor to use. I guess I could have removed the wheel and taken them to stationary compressor (hmm why didn't I think of that sooner). You need a long blunt tube (about 3/4 inch) to hold and seal the whole while pumping in. I had to over inflate, because as you remove the hose, the air comes out before you can insert the plastic screw. In doing this, be very careful not to lose a grip, or the screw will go flying into the water.I would suggest that the only improvement would be to install a tire valve stem, so one can inflate to the exact PSI and not worry about losing the screw. The manufacturer could have a "screw in" valve stem to replace the existing screw. Thethis would be perfect.n

Well built and durable DOcking Wheels.
The wheels arrived on time and in tact. The hardware is very sturdy and well made. The Wheel mounted real easy. I would recommend that they check to rod height for quality control as one had extra material and required some filing. The filing was require so the washer would not hold the wheel. Minor fix but they both now work great. Already saved a mark on the boat.

Nota good buy
After a month the rolling ball burst upon impact. Too expensive to replace the wheel.

Useless piece of junk
The center shaft arrived not threaded, which made it useless. The shaft also had burrs, so the wheel did not spin freely. The plastic collar on the wheel was too long to fit on the shaft. Very poorly made

Saved the side of my boat
Mounted to my aluminum dock quite easily before mounting the wheel. Should have a height adjustment.
