just okay Update: works perfectly
The alarm on the unit failed within 24 hours. I tried to open it to put in an SD card and one of the screw heads were stripped. The motion detection is sensitive even turned down but still works. The picture is very good. It was easy to set up. I would not buy this again. I am trying another camera for my front door. I use this for my back deck and swimming pool. Audio does not work well. I can hear the person standing in front of the camera but they cannot hear me.Update: The seller contacted me about the problems. They sent a new camera. The camera works perfectly now. I would definitely buy this again. Good customer service means a lot to me and this company went out of their way to provide a good working camera

Head Scratching Required!
Getting it to work took some fiddling. I am an engineer and generally capable of doing so, but I wonder about other lay folks. For a widely US marketed consumer product, you'd think someone with English-first-language writing skills could fully vet the Chinese written instructions. The word "cleansing" for example appears in several places and even with the experience of doing the task does not make sense. Nothing in the directions says how or when to install the micro-SD memory card. I guessed correctly that the included Philips head screw driver had something to do with it and removed the speaker/microphone cover : viola! micro SD card slot in view. I Installed a 64 GB card purchased at the same time before doing anything else and replaced the speaker/cover. Another thing I didn't like is the wire harness goes through a sharp edged hole in a triangular metal plate. The harness was already beginning to show signs of chaffing and it wasn't even installed yet. I selected a rubber grommet from my parts bin, cut in and installed it around the wire to protect the harness, much better (see picture). The package also included an unexplained Micro-SD to USB adapter; I guess this could be useful if you wanted to remove the SD card and transfer an image/video to your PC.Overall, there is a boatload of technology in this little device for a relative pittance in money and since I'm not afraid of electronics experiments, enjoyed the challenge. However, to make it more consumer friendly a thorough set of instructions and accessory manifest should be developed/included.

Great camera at a great price
Cannot beat the price and quality on this camera. I am buying another. Worked well with HiSee android software. On mine at first it did not connect to wifi. I connected eithernet and logged into cam and wifi was off. Turned it on and it worked right away. Not sure if it was an accident or if wifi is off on all but it was an easy fix.

Quality seems slightly lower than described
The first issue is that Wireless setup failed. I was able to see the camera AP and connect to it, but from there the CamHi app wouldn't "connect" the camera it was connected to for setup. Had to plug it into my LAN and then I was able to configure Wifi. The second issue is that the video maximum desktop streaming resolution is 640x352. This seems counter to the product description. The saved photos are 1920x1080 as expected, butI'm not sure they quite meet my expectations for 1080p. Considering these photos are at 1PM on a bright, sunny day (some of the photo is in shade, but still) it's pretty disappointing quality.

Fuzzy ring in night vision mode
my main reason for getting this camera was that is operated on the same app CamHi that the previous one I purchased. this camera compared to the other brand is constantly disconnecting and I frequently have to shut down the app completely and reboot it. there is major lag in live view. I purchased a camera with night vision because that is when i'm most concerned about what is going on around my property. this is where it is major fail. although I was able to set it to where I could get a clear enough picture at night, my view is obstructed by a fuzzy ring that takes a large viewing area to a small narrow window. I've cleaned the lens and checked to make sure there wasn't anything on the lens itself and I don't see anything obvious. i'm going to move it to another location to see if that will help with the slow lag in the live stream but with the narrow viewing due to this "ring" i'm not sure it will be useful anywhere I place it. at night, if there is any light source, it causes a bright glare so it's better to place in a non lit no light in viewing window. I will not purchase this brand and will stick to the other one I bought that was slightly more expensive.

Adequate camera, but operating software not very good.
Have had two examples now of this camera. One has worked 100% as expected, the other had dust and debris between the lens and the protective glass. Seems to be a quality control issue during manufacturing. Photo illustrates. The dedicated smartphone app for this camera is not designed very well. I am trying to figure out how to use a third party operating platform to control and view the camera on a desktop. But I offer a good rating for the camera itself, with a clear picture, excellent "night vision" images, and an adequate method of mounting and adjustment. Not so happy with the three-wire cable that dangles from the housing, one being a reset button, another being an ethernet connection, and the third being the DC power. Seems the reset button and an ethernet jack could both be placed within the sealed speaker grill, since they are so seldom used.

Horrible camera
Not great.....the camera will connect to my phone, but I can only use it will the cord provided. Being only 2 ft long it is not possible to have it anywhere other than right next to the router, Wi-Fi only connected once, never again after that. Absolutely a waste of money. I would not recommend wasting your time.
